IBM M&A Onboarding
Laura Hamburg has been the global communications lead for five international M&A Integrations and Employee Onboardings on behalf of IBM. Often they don’t even have IBM laptops, so communicating with them has to begin outside of the firewall with welcome events and town halls. Most are companies of 500 or less and based out of one or two locations.
Working with the Integration Executive, Laura plans and executes everything from communications about new badges to health benefits, not to mention company branding, marketing materials, product development and strategy.
It’s a rewarding challenge that is completed with Transfer of Business, anywhere from nine months to two years later.
